Cinepolis Gourmet Food Pairing Event At Greater Noida

Whenever I hear about a new movie theatre, multiplex my question is what’s different they have to offer us. With similar popcorn, chips and cold drinks all these theatre look just the same. So when Cinépolis who is India’s 1st international and World’s 4th largest movie theatre today organized a gourmet afternoon & Cook-off challenge at Coffee Tree, the signature property & in-house F&B lounge of Cinépolis and sent me an invitation I was super excited to be part of it. This event was organized at premises of Cinépolis Grand Venice Mall, Greater Noida.

The culinary event witnessed celebrity Chef Nishant Choubey (who has worked with has worked at many prestigious hotels such as the Taj, Oberoi, Jumeirah (Dubai), and restaurants such as Olive Bar & Kitchen, LAP, Olive Beach, Cibo) bringing to life the most popular delicacies from the Coffee Tree menu followed by a unique ‘cook-off challenge’ amongst the audience members. Coffee Tree is the in-house gourmet café in the premises of Cinépolis, serving freshly prepared dishes & taking the food experience in a theatre beyond sandwiches, nachos and burgers. It also serves as a full-fledged, state of the art coffee shop present inside the cinema catering to the patrons coming into the cinema to watch movies as well as people coming to just grab a bite. The food options range over a plethora of cuisines panning from, Pastas and Pizzas for the Italian connoisseurs to the more exotic, baguis and crepes from Mexico. Apart from selling the entire spectrum of coke beverages from the counter, it also serves coolers and shakes. Now this was something new and exciting that no other theatre has been catering to.

Chef continued with his culinary skills and made pasta, Chili cheese toast, Chicken tikka sandwich, he also spoke how fresh ingredients are a must to create any recipe. The interactive session also had some inputs from chef on food pairing & beverages. Among all my favourite was chilli cheese toast and even thinking of brings water to my mouth.

These dishes are available for all the audience who will come for a movie so that they can have better and tastier options to choose from. In short these delicacies will make movie watching experience all the more delicious.

Then there was a Cook-off challenge that witnessed participation from 6 contestants who competed with each other to showcase their culinary prowess. The contestants were asked to make pasta and mojito at their stations, with all the ingredients being provided by Cinépolis. All the dishes were adjudged by Chef Nishant and a winner was announced. It was fun witnessing the whole event.

Next time you visit Cinepolis I will recommend you to try from their new menu.
