38 Barracks Restaurant Review

Theme based restaurants are a rage these days. Here comes a restaurant situated in heart of Delhi, Connaught Place which is designed like a house of top rank Army official. Once you enter the restaurant you will be escorted by guard to enter. You will find medals, certificates hanging on the wall to give you a feel. This place is dedicated to our brave soldiers who have fought for our country and have dedicated their lives so that we can feel safe in our homes.

Ambience is really cool and I am sure guys will love this place. Star Chef Mr. Gautam Chaudhary who is a Michelin recommended chef has curated a new menu.

I tried Beetroot ki Galouti that was really unique in its concept. It was made of crisp Japanese bread with beetroot inside. It was buttery soft and delicious to taste buds. I was so impressed with this dish that I reordered it.

Paneer tikka barrels were also really unique in taste due to the kind of stuffing used like kaju, kishmish etc.

Haryali Kebab was served with half roti and chutney. You have to try their shakes and mocktails.

Even though I lived in Hyderabad, UP I never tried roadside mirchi vada because I don’t eat spicy food. When I saw mirchi vada being served at 38 Barracks I was like yes I have to try that. Those were really tasty and less spicy compared to what I imagined. I wont recommend their pizza as I didn't find it tasty enough. They need to work upon improving its taste.

The most thrilling experience was when ice cream was made in front of our eyes. That was an experience in itself.

You can check out this place for some amazing non-veg options as well. I am a vegetarians but some of my foodie friends mentioned about non-vegetarian food being tasty.

Stick to R&W
