Start A New Life My Way

Hi Friends,

After my graduation was over I didn’t wanted to study for at least a year. I wanted to take break from studies and explore world on my own. There was lot of fuss going around in my college about call centers, as few of my friends were going to join after final exams. So many people were telling different things. Some were saying it’s a bad place to work, some were saying its great place to groom your personality and develop communication skills.  I was reading a lot in newspaper various things about call centers, but I didn’t know what was true or not. I wanted to experience on my own, rather than forming an opinion
based on other’s judgment. 

Lot of my friends went to Delhi for interviews and got selected. I too was anxious about joining call center. I wanted to live on my own after graduation and only way to do was once I get a job I can live. Now I was little scared of asking permission from my dad. Lot of my cousins was well qualified and settled in nice job profiles, my dad also wanted me to study. On the other hand I wanted to take break from studies and wanted to join call center. I discussed with him to which he objected initially. Then after lot of convincing he agreed to take me to Delhi to get interviewed. He said I will take you for interviews only for two days. If you get job in two days, I will allow you to work. 

So we left for Delhi immediately after my final exams. I have searched about consultancies who organize interviews through newspaper. I spoke to consultants over phone to get all the information I needed. We went to a consultancy in Malviya Nagar. I was under impression that interview will take hardly an hour, which was shattered when I was told that it takes sometimes whole day for one interview because of so many rounds. At that moment my dad told me that this is your only chance as I can’t give you another day. I just prayed to god and attended all rounds with determination of selection. My heartbeat raced whenever one round was over and consultant use to come out with results. I remember there were total five rounds and four rounds were cleared in one go. It was my last round which I was little worried about. Reason all who went inside with me were rejected. Everyone who participated along with me was leaving one by one. Consultancy people asked me to stay back. They said my result wasn’t clear. I only knew how those few minutes I have survived. Finally, I cleared all the rounds and got the job by end of day. I was elated and my dad was also happy to see me so happy. I have never looked back then. This was my way to Start A New Life, how about you?
