Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12 Hour Smudge Proof, Deepest Black Review

Kajal is a must have cosmetic in my bag. I don’t even call it cosmetic as it is a necessity for me. Rarely do I step out of my house without Kajal. There are definitely some brands that are regular in my makeup kit. I used to be huge fan of Maybelline Colossal Kajal and just to experiment with other brands I didn’t used it for a while. Recently in my Maybelline Summer Essential Kit (you can watch video here) I got Maybelline Colossal Kajal that is 12 Hour Smudge Proof, Deepest Black. As I promised that I will do its review for sure so here it is.

Packaging – Standard colossal kajal yellow colour stick. The cap of stick is tighter than before that ensures that it doesn’t unscrew on its on white it is in bag. This is priced at Rs. 200 and you can buy it online here for only Rs. 137

My experience with the product – When I was using colossal Kajal before the only issue I had with them was that they were not that dark like normally others kajals are. I had to draw atleast seven to eight times to get that dark black kajal on my eyes. With deepest black Maybelline has fulfilled their promise. In just two strokes I get a perfect dark black colour of Kajal on my eyes. This kajal gives my eyes a defined look and I can use it on my upper eye lid as well to apply it like an eye liner. It glides effortlessly and makes your eyes look beautiful. My eyes are watery eyes any good kajal howsoever smudge free it is doesn’t stay for more than four hours in my eyes. But this Kajal stayed for three hours without smudging and after that yes it got smudged. For a person who doesn’t have watery eyes this kajal will easily stay for five to six hours. I don’t believe that this will stay for 12 hour as 12 hour is a long time commitment. This kajal is enriched with olive oil, vitamin E, vitamin C and conditioning agents. Maybelline claims that this is suitable for even those who wear lenses. Maybelline Colossal Kajal makes your eyes look big and beautiful even if you wear glasses. When you have to remove this Kajal you definitely need a good makeup remover as it doesn’t come off easily. I know it is a good thing if we speak from staying power point of view but it is also not so good thing. In my opinion this area brand can focus on how to develop it in such a way that it stays for long and can also be removed easily.

R&W Rating – 4.5/5
