R&W Interviewed Riddhima Kapoor

She needs no intro. She is daughter of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, sister of Ranbir Kapoor. She is none other than Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. I can't believe that I finally managed to interview her. Thanks to Riddhima and her great team for cooperation. Without their support this interview couldn't have been possible. 

She has launched her own Jewelry line under brand name "R" with her friend and business partner Mr. Anuj Kapoor of famous Punjab Jewelers from Mumbai. Her designs are beautiful and I am absolutely in love with them. I like the fact that she wants to create her own identity. She is married to Bharat Sahni and have a beautiful daughter of five years. Her brand is like her classy and elegant. I really enjoyed interviewing her. 

Why Jewelry not anything else? 

My brand 'R ''Jewelry by RKS defines me who I am as a person. I absolutely enjoy wearing and designing delicate yet stylish Jewelry which is the brand USP

Who & What motivated you to launch your jewelry line? 

I am my own motivator 

Did you took any professional training? What other preparations you did when you decided to launch your own brand?

My Mother and I used to be the face of a popular Jewelry brand for eight years and I enjoyed every bit of adorning their jewels. I learnt a lot about Jewelry in the years from the brand itself 

Today my brand partner Mr Anuj Kapoor from Punjab Jewelers and me have launched R Jewelry together and hope to go all out with it 

What all (metal/stones) you use for your creations? 

All our pieces are made in 18kt gold. We use different stones- precious and semi-precious both 

Our pieces are delicate elegant simple classy. Anyone and everyone can sport my Jewelry from young girls to older women

You are from a famous & rich family. Does your grandmother or mother's jewelry fascinated you? Share some jewelry moments of yours. 

My grandmothers famous pearls for sure. I loved the way she wore them with her beautiful crisp white saris. My mums taste in Jewelry and mine are too similar. We love pieces that make a statement. It could be a ring - a pair of earrings or a bracelet 

How many hours in a day you devote to your passion? How does your normal working day look like? 

I have a five year old so when she is at school I devote those hours to work and late in the night 

I enjoy being a mother but at the same time I need to do this (designing/creating) for myself 

I love working I love designing and when people appreciate my work it gives me an instant high 

You are a celeb in your own way. How does that help in your business? 

Having famous parents definitely adds to a lot but off course puts a lot of pressure as well. Your

product needs to be good in order to be appreciated. Fortunately people are appreciating my Jewelry and I am thankful to them 

What kind of jewelry you prefer for daily basis, parties, weddings, family functions? 

A pair Earrings – solitaires, Ring, Bracelet and my watch 

Any ornament which you always wear? 

My shambala bracelet 

What is that one piece of jewelry that you have gifted to Ranbir? 

His gift is pending 

What are you planning next for your brand? 

We have already tied up with a few Stores in delhi. We are in between setting up our website and hope to take it international. That is the plan
