Dil Dhadakne Do Trailer Review

Hello Friends,

I got very good response from you guys for my last post from sets of Dil Dhadakne Do. Here I am back with its trailer review. I am sure lot of you must have already seen the trailer. What you think of the trailer? Here is what I have to say about it.

Dil Dhadakne Do film is considered (as per film gurus) to be block buster of 2015. There are lot of expectations from the film in terms of box office collections, story, star cast performance etc. etc. The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Film is made under banners Junglee Pictures and Excel Entertainment. Story by Farhan & Javed Akhtar, screenplay by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar.

Roles

Mehra Family
Anil Kapoor will be seen as Kamal Mehra
Shefali Shah will be seen as Neelam Mehra
Priyanka Chopra will be seen as Ayesha Mehra
Ranveer Singh will be seen as Kabir Mehra

Other cast
Anushka Sharma as Farah Ali
Farhan Akhtar as Sunny Gill
Rahul Bose as Manav

Zarina Wahab as Manav’s Mother

Plot of the film – Mehra’s is a rich and pretentious family who wants to look good and happy always in their social circle. Family wants everyone around them to believe that they are a perfect family. But in real they have lot of problems, like communication gap, they want their son to settle down with a girl chosen by them where as he fells for a total stranger. Daughter is not happy with her marriage.

R&W Review – Film as you know has been shot on a cruise. If you wish to read more about cruise/film set click here. The film is about a rich family and its problems which normally middle class household don’t have. For any middle class family person the problems shown in the film would be out of their scope as we don’t have communication gap with our parents. In lot of middle class households families spend quality as well as abundant time together and therefore lot of issues like the ones shown in film don’t arise. These issues might look superficial to lot of us. So I will say if you are going to watch the film don’t compare it with your own life. This film is from Zoya’s point of view, little bit based on her relationship with her brother. Highlight of the film is brother-sister relationship. The film is definitely for classes than for masses. I don’t remember exactly but in one of her interviews Zoya has mentioned that she likes to make classy film. So no complains for that. I have to say Priyanka and Ranveer are looking like real siblings. PC looks mature and impresses in the trailer. She has strong screen presence. Ranveer, I have to say that for first time I can say he is looking handsome in the trailer. He has most number of lines in the trailer and he has outdone Farhan for sure. I like the fact that every main actor of the film has shown in the trailer. Before watching trailer I didn’t knew that Rahul Bose was also part of the film. It will be good to see him in the film after long gap. I know lot of you are trying to compare it with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, but I would suggest don’t do that. Every film is different. Trailer reveals too much for sure and one can easily guess what could be the possible ending of the film but at the end of the day it’s not a mystery film. Farhan looks like spoilt brat in the trailer. Anil Kapoor playing old, why what has happened to him all of a sudden? In his last film he played young and all of a sudden he is awake to realize that he has grown up kids and one daughter is already working as actress in films. It will be fascinating to see him in the role of dad. Shefali Shah is like icing on cake, she is looking incredible. Casting is superb. Film has been shot with heavenly backgrounds, amazing costumes. What I trust Zoya and Reema is that their pen really works. I am planning to watch the film (I wish they call me for movie premiere)

R&W Rating – 4/5

R&W Recommendation – Film quality will be good and I don’t think you will regret your money spent on ticket. BTW movie is releasing on June 5.
